Thanks for visiting my website. I'm a full-time freelance journalist and editor based in Tokyo, where I've been living since 1999.

I generally cover business/finance and travel/the travel industry, but I also enjoy doing features on everything from homelessness to flying kites...the diversity is part of the reason I wouldn't want to be anything but a writer.

My travel writing has appeared in media ranging from in-flight and in-room magazines to well-known guidebooks and even Japanese language publications. Most recently I've had jaunts around Japan for Lexus Magazine, the Hiragana Times, Silkroad, Changi Class, and Insight Guides' Asia's Best Hotels & Resorts.

As a business journalist I've been published by eFinancialCareers.com and Nikkei Net Interactive, and regularly have pieces in several of Japan's leading English-language magazines.
